Monsieur Moritz Von Fries; the co-owner of the bank Fries & Co. in Vienna, whom was also known as the son of the richest man in Austria. This painting, I made in 1796. It now sits in the gallery of the Louvre.

My Head.


The second self portrait I ever painted. I was 23 at the moment, so I was still very young.

April 16, 1755. That's when I was born in the gorgeous city of Paris. This is a photo of more recent times, so Paris looked a bit different around the time I was brought into the world.

The Queen of Prussia


After my return from Russia in 1801, I stopped by Berlin, where I met Louise Augusta, Queen Prussia. She was a pleasure to have been acquainted to, and I was over taken and astonished by the unique features and royal charm she held. I had to create a portrait.
